Hi, the first step you want to take is to fill out the missing numbers in the first chart.
For example, you know in the first row that there are a Total of 50 people. Of those 50, 5 have No Opinion and 20 are Against, which means 25 people must be For increasing minimum wage.
Continue using that kind of logic to fill out the rest of the chart.
The second chart is concerned with the relative frequency (or ratio of each value compared to the total value). In this chart your answers are going to be in the form of decimals or percents (as opposed to the actual count.)
To fill out this chart, take the value of each box in the first chart and divide it by the total number of people in the sample. In this sample, the total number of people is 200 (see the box on the bottom right of the first chart.)
So for example, the first box of the frequency table, (For, Ages 21-40) we deduced that it's 25. To fill in the box on the relative frequency chart you do 25 ÷ 200. You will get .125.
Fill out the rest of the chart the same way. (Divide each of the numbers in the first chart by 200)
Once you have the 2 charts filled out, the questions should be relatively simple.
For questions that ask for the percent, just take the numbers from the relative frequency chart and multiply it by 100. That will give you the percent.
