Josh and three friends are planning to spend 2 days collecting litter on a walking path. The length of the path is 1 mile. Josh and his friends have decided that they will divide up the mile-long path so that each person collects litter for the same distance. What is the distance, in feet, that each person will collect litter?

So there are 4 people in total and a 1 mile path. Each person covers an equal distance (1/4 of a mile).

So we just have to find out how many feet are in a 1/4 mile.

1 mile = 5280 ft => 1/4 miles = 1320 ft.
