Aldolase B Expression

How can Aldolase B expression be regulated by transcription factors HNF-1, HNF-3, C/EPB and DBP?

Simple answer Aldolase B plays a role in gluconeogenesis and glycolysis, thus any transcription factor that can influence the balance of glycolysis-gluconeogenesis in theory can regulate the expression of Aldolase B, the transcription factors you listed here all does that same thing. So no they don't directly regulate the Aldolase B expression but they influence feedback loop that will allow for expression of the protein and by regulating the glycolysis-gluconeogenesis they can regulate Aldolase B. This is my understanding of this phenomenon.

I am not sure how comfortable you are with reading papers, as they can be quite confusing if you haven't read very many of them. Just let me know and I will be happy to work through the paper with you.

If this is a more basic level question, the paper describes that in Hep G2 cells HNF-1and DBP are strong activators of Aldolase B, which means the gene expression will be increased. HNF-3 competitively inhibits HNF-1 and non-competitively inhibits DBP, either way HNF-3 decreases the expression of Aldolase B. Lastly, C/EPB was found to weakly activate aldolase B in Hep G2 cells, and strongly activate aldolase B in hepatocyes (liver cells) in primary culture (freshly harvested and exposed to growth media).
