I assume you meant to say that f(x) = 1/(x + 1). Please group things in parentheses in this forum.

(f ο g)(x) = f(g(x)) = 1 / [g(x) + 1] = 1 / [(x² + 3) + 1]

Similarly,

(g ο f)(x) = g(f(x)) = f(x)² + 3 = [1/(x + 1)]² + 3
