-5x-2y=-20
You can figure it out like this...
Multiply both sides by -1
5x + 2y =20
Subtract 5x from both sides:
2y = -5x + 20
Divide both sides by 2
y = - 5/2 x + 10
So the y-intercept is 10
Or, you can remember that when an equation is in standard form...
Ax + By = C
then the y-intercept is C/B
In this case it would be -20 / -2 = 10
