Are all horizontal lines parallel? Explain your reasoning.

Technically, this isn't correct. Horizontal is always perpendicular to vertical at your current location, but verticals diverge depending on your location on the earth's curving surface. Thus horizontal at one location will diverge from horizontal at another.
