Napoleon's way of getting into power could be considered both smart and evil. He was a military genius who stabilized France, conquered most of Europe, and escaped from exile. But he also declared himself Emperor and undid the progress made by the French Revolution by re-instituting slavery in the colonies and rolling back the rights of women.
