Hey! Lets translate this shall we ?
So, "less than" equals 'subtraction'. "Product" equals multiplication and "is" means 'equals' ! Now do not get confused from what it says... 3 less than the product of 9 and a number does not mean
3 - 9x = 4..........It is the other way around such that
9x - 3 = 4
I hope this helped!
