99th Percentile ACT, SAT, and MCAT: Get Into Your Dream School!
Hey there, all you have to do is multiply by 2 for the number of minutes you have.
After 1 minute, your 1 cell has divided into 2 cells.
After 1 more minute (a total of 2 minutes) those 2 cells have now divided into 4.
After 1 more minute (a total of 3 minutes) those 4 cells have divided into 8.
You can use exponents for this as well:
2^1 minute = 2 cells. 2^2 minutes = 4 cells. 2^3 minutes = 8 cells
Overall, after 10 minutes, you would have (2^10) = 1,024 cells
