So if the zeroes are 3.5 and -2, then
y = (x - 3.5)(x+2)
because, if you substitute 3.5 for x or -2 for x into the equation, you get zero.
If you multiply it out you get:
y = (x-3.5)(x+2)
y = x2 -3.5x + 2x -7
y = x2 -1.5x - 7
This is not one of your options, unless answer C should read y = x2 -1.5x -7
