Hi Marcela.
When we know the slope of a line and 1 point that the line passes through, we can use point-slope form to determine the equation of the line.
Point-slope form: y-y_=m(x-x_) where (x_,y_) are the coordinates of the point the line passes through, and m is the slope of the line.
Inserting our values we get y-1=-1/2(x-(-2))
Since subtracting a negative works like addition, we get y-1=-1/2(x+2)
Distribute the -1/2 y-1=-1/2x-1 this is point-slope form
Add the 1 to both sides y=-1/2x this is slope-intercept form
Hope this help!
Have a good night and stay safe.

Use point-slope form
(y -1) = -(x + 2) / 2
