It might help if you knew the definitions of all these terms and how they relate to each other.

The Emancipation Proclamation was issued by Abraham Lincoln in 1863. It declared that all slaves in the Confederate states would be free.

The Confederacy (South) and the Union (North) were the two sides in the Civil War. The Confederates surrendered to the Union at Appomattox Courthouse in Virginia in 1865.

The Anaconda Plan was the Union plan to blockade the South and choke it like an anaconda, cutting it off from outside supplies.
