Similarity of solving life problem and math problem:
- you analyze the situation (given in question)
- you calculate and estimate the value (simulating the formula from experiments and sample statistics)
- And you finalize the results/decision from what told you from the data
Differences:
- there is no specific value (discrete) for the answer, but a continuous range of relevant data
- real life problem dependent on human decision (so human error, sociology and psychology involved), math problem is basically theoretical
- real life problem has lots more factors involved (sometimes the factors are hidden), math problem usually has the conditions and data given
