This math is so hard

Robert wants to put lights around the front of his house the house is 12 yards long and 7 yards high. How many feet of lights does he need

Obviously, if my mental picture of the situation isn't correct, for some reason, then this answer could be wrong. For instance, if he doesn't put lights along the ground, but does put lights going up the left side, across the roof and down the right side, we wouldn't have a second 12 yard length, so we would only need 12+7+7 = 26 yards of lights (78ft).
