ANS) 6 degrees and 84 degrees
An angle measures 78° more than the measure of its complementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?
Complementary angle means that the sum of two angles is 90 degrees.
angle 1 is x
angle 2 is 78+x
angle 1 and angle 2 are complmentary, so set an equation up.
x+(78+x)=90
2x+78+90
2x=12
x=6
x is angle 1, so angle 1 is 6
x+78 is angle 2, so angle 2 is 78+6=84
