Assuming that the string is made of three parts: part a , part, b and part c .
Since the total length of the string is 300 cm, we can write the following equation:
a + b + c = 300
Then we also know that b = 60 + c and that a = 30 + b. If we substitute these expressions for b and a in the equation, we can write:
30 + b + 60 + c + c = 300
Then substitute 60 + c for b again:
30 + 60 + c + 60 + c + c = 300
Then combine like terms and use inverse operations to solve for c:
150 + 3c = 300
150 + 3c - 150 = 300 - 150
3c = 150
3c/3 = 150/3
c = 50 cm
Then b will be 60 + c = 60 + 50 = 110 cm
a will be 30 + b = 30 + 110 = 140 cm
The total will be:
a + b + c = 140 + 110 + 50 =300 cm
