Mean:
For May, she sold 22 cars at $20k, 49 at $50k, and 25 at 11.5k. So here's how you find the mean:
[ (22 x 20,000) + (49 x 50,000) + (25 x 11,500) ] ÷ [ 22 + 49 + 25]
The numerator finds the weighted total (by price) and the denominator divides that by the total number of cars
sold. Do the same for June and July.
Median:
For May, calculate (22 + 49 + 25) ÷ 2. This will give you a value for half of the cars sold. Now count from
either the top price downward or from the lowest price upward until you reach that half-way number.
Whichever price range that car falls in is the median price. Repeat for June and July.
Mode:
Mode is the easiest. For each month, pick the price that has the most cars. That price is your mode for that month.
