What is the y-intercept of r(x)=.76^x -2
-2 is not raised to a power like x is btw, it's subtracting 2

The y-intercept is where x = 0.
r(x) = 0.76x - 2
r(0) = 0.760 - 2 = 1 - 2 = -1 ≠ 0.72
(Note that 0.760 = 1)
Either r(x) is not stated correctly, or the answer of 0.72 is wrong.

Do you mean (0.76^x) - 2 or (0.76)^(x - 2) ?02/06/20
