This is a PROPORTION Problem or a linear equation problem.
Let's do the latter:
d, distance, = mt + b; if Yolanda runs 10 miles in 75 minutes then her rate, or the slope, m, of our linear equation is 10 miles/75 minutes or 2/15 miles/minute. If she runs for 0 minutes, the linear equation's intercept is 0, as she will not go anywhere.
So our equation reduces to d = mt + 0 or d = mt where t is the amount of time that she runs.
So we have, d = (2/15)*(miles/minute)*(69)*minutes = 9.2 miles.
Now let's do it the proportion way:
10/75 = d/69, multiplying both sides of the equation by 69 tells us that
(10/75)*69 = d, or d = 9.2 miles.
