I think its D. but can you please explain the steps

A Ball thrown in the air has a height of -16t2+50t+3

What is the average rate of change for h(t) between t=o and t=2

A. 36 seconds per foot

B. 36 feet per second

C. 18 seconds per foot

D. 18 feet per second

Anatolia G.

Hi! So here are my steps. I hope this helps. You put t = 2 in the equation and get h(t) = 39feet. After that, you need to find out the average rate of change which is distance/time. In this case, it is 39/2 which is 18feet/second

Wouldn't you have to divide 36 and 2 which would give you 18
