Hello. I completely agree with the previous answer. To expound upon that, there are other schools of thought. If you can afford the expensive meal and you are giving back to your community concerning homelessness, there is an altruistic component, at play. If you have worked hard and have earned a luxury and reward yourself for hard work can also be viewed as a psychologically healthy choice.

Let's look at the alternative. If we don't buy the meal the farmers and fisherman and everyone who produced the food will be worse off. As will the cooks and service staff who prepared and served it. If the question is recast as "is it wrong to eat a luxury meal when people are starving when the alternative is that more people will be starving " I think you will answer your own question.
