“Just war” is a specific ethical framework that has been applied by various sources over the years. You can look it up and address its several decision points, or you can address the justness of war in more general terms. But the second approach is going to require a broader base of knowledge of wars and how they’ve been fought across history. An interesting statistic to consider is the relative proportions of casualties of war between armies and civilians, and how those proportions have changed. Good luck!
