UV+WV=X

Can someone help me to solve for v with step by step instructions on how please. My mind is going blank on this and I just can't get the gears moving. I can't quite remember how and I skipped this problem over somehow after a long day I just need a reminder. Thanks in advance.

Factor out a V on the left side of the equation V*(U + W),

then divide both sides by (U + W) to get V = X/(U + W).

the key is to factor the v out which is common to both terms on the left

factoring the left side we get v(u + w) = x then divide both side by ( u + w)

v = x/(u + w)
