Set up the proportion:
.75 qts/10 doors = x qts/25 doors
Cross multiply to get
(.75•25) = 10x
18.75 = 10x
X = 1.875 qts.

One thought. 3/4 gallons is 3 quarts. Why did you put .75 quarts instead of 3 quarts?01/22/20

Sorry, just didn't note the units carefully.01/22/20

You labeled them right. My thought is if it takes 3 quarts for 10 doors, how does it take less than 2 for 25 doors?01/22/20
CHERYL S.
First step is to convert gallons to quarts. There are 4 quarts in 1 gallon, so 3/4 gallon = 3 quarts. Then set up a proportion: 3 qts/10 doors = x qts/25 doors and cross-multiply: 3 x 25 = 10x. Then solve for x: x=7.5.01/22/20
