x = 2y - 4

x+8 =4(y+3)

Substitute

2y-4 + 8 = 4(y+3)

2y +4 = 4y + 12

2y = -8

y=-4

x=-12

Check:

-12 + 8 = 4(-4+3)

-4=-4

But x is SMALLER!!!!
