With this type of problem, it best to know your formulas. If you don't remember, looking standard form will be:

Ax + By =C, where C is your constant (a number).

All you have to do now is rearrange y = -4x/7 + 1 into Ax + By = C.

It should look like this: 4x + 7y = 7

In a question like this, always look to get rid of any fractions first, by multiplying by the LCD.

- In this case "7" is the only denominator, so it's also the LCD

- Multiplying everything by it gives us: 7y = 4x + 1

(For the x term, multiplying by 7 just cancels out the denominator, which was the goal)

- Then you move the x term to the left and in front of the y term to match the model: ax + by = c

Which gives you: -4x + 7y = 7

(Remember that switching sides means switching sides, so "4x" becomes "-4x")
