A man, who is 6ft 3in tall, is standing next to a tree that casts a shadow 47ft long. The man casts a shadow that is 13ft long. How many feet tall is the tree?

First note that 6 ft 3 in is 6.25 feet since 3 in = 1/4 foot = 0.25 feet

By similar triangles...

6.25/13 = x/47

x = 6.25*47/13 = 22.59615384

22 feet 7 and 3/16 inches
