Hi Sarish! Here is a breakdown of how I would tackle this problem,
If there are 3 friends and each of them bought 2 slices of pizza and 1 drink, that would mean there are 6 slices and 3 drinks total. The total cost was $11.25.
If one drink cost $0.75, then 3 drinks would cost $2.25.
We would subtract the total cost $11.25 by the cost of drinks ($2.25), and get $9.00 left over.
Now, since there were 6 slices of pizza total and we only have $9 left, we just divide $9 by 6 slices and get $1.50. This means each slice of pizza was $1.50.
Hope this made sense!
