Helppppp anyone please math

Gary and Alex live different distances from their school. They both leave home at the same time. Gary bicycles to school. His distance from the school in miles,d, as a function of t, time in minutes, is given by this equation.

d=-1/5t+5

Alex skateboards to school. The table shows his distance from school at different times.

6 and 2.5

12 and 2.0

18 and 1.5


which boy arrives at school first? how many minutes before the other boy arrives? Show your work.

I think you have the time and mileage for Alex interchanged. The problem stated the time first, and then the distance. You have the first column distance and the second for time. Moreover, it's unreasonable to expect a change of 6 miles in half a minute. That's a speed of 720 miles per hour on a skateboard!!! No way. Sorry.
