To find the slope of a line we use the following equation:
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
Now we just plug in our values and simplify:
m = (16 - (-9)) / (-2 -3)
m = (16+9) / (-2 -3)
m = (25) / (-5)
m = -5
