If the total is at least 8 hours, then x + y > 8 which can also be written as y > -x + 8. That means the boundary of the solution set is y = -x + 8 and we are looking for y values higher than the line.
If weight training as at most 5 hours, then x < 5 so that means the boundary is x = 5 and the solution set is to the left of that boundary.
If cardio is at most 10 hours, then y < 10 so that means the boundary is y = 10 and the solution set is below that boundary.
