Algebra question please help :)

Question

write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line with y-intercept of 7 and slope of 1/4

please explain how you figured it out because I want to learn how to do it not just the answer!!

Slope intercept form:

y = mx + b

m = slope

b = y-intercept; i.e. the line crosses the y-axis at the point (0,b)

In this problem, both m and b are given to you:

m = 1/4

b = 7

y = (1/4)x + 7
