I know this is a copper reduction reaction of Cu2+ to Cu+ but how are proteins detected?

The reduction of the copper leads to the production of an intense blue molecule known as heteropolymolybdenum Blue. The concentration of this molecule is determined by measuring absorbance at 660nm and this concentration is proportional to the amount of protein in the sample.
