y = mx + b
m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
Plug in the coordinates of the 2 given points and get m, then get b from either
y1 = mx1 + b
or
y2 = mx2 + b

i need little help starting it i can't figure out what you mean by m = (y2 - y1)/ (x2-x1) the only form i learned like that was y -y1 = m(x-x1)11/21/19

I gave you the equation for finding the slope given 2 points. After you have the slope, you still need to find the y-intercept b. Get it using either of the given points and the slope. Both give the same y-intercept.11/21/19

so would the answer be y = 6/4 + 1/2 or do i simplify the 6/411/21/19

thank you11/21/19

m = 6/4 = 3/2 ... I get b = -1/2 ... y = (3/2)x - 1/211/21/19
