Hi again, Logan.
This is what you MUST MEMORIZE:
To find x-intercept: FORCE Y=0
To find y-intercept: FORCE X=0
With 2y = x - 1 x-int: 2(0) = x - 1 0 = x - 1 1 = x so the x-intercept is 1
y-int: 2y = 0 - 1 2y = -1 y = -(1/2) so the y-intercept is -(1/2)
With x = (1/3)y + 1 x-int: x = (1/3)(0) + 1 x = 0 + 1 x = 1 so the x-intercept is 1
y-int: 0 = (1/3)y + 1 -1 = (1/3) y -3 = y so the y-intercept is -3
With y = 3x x-int: 0 = 3x x=0 x-intercept is 0
y-int: y = 3(0) y = 0 y-intercept is 0
With y = (1/3)x + 12 x-int: 0 = (1/3)x + 12 -12 = (1/3)x -36 = x x-intercept is -36
y-int: y = (1/3)(0) + 12 y = 0 + 12 y = 12 y-intercept is 12
