Using inverse operations means using the opposite operation that's in an equation to move terms from either side of it. EXAMPLE: 7b+5=3b...the right side of the equation is a "plus" 3b. Using inverse operations, you would then "subtract" 3b on the right and left side of the equation. Then proceed to simplify any like terms. I hope this sparks some ideas!
