The answer would depend on the weights of a bushel, a box, and a bag of apples. Are you provided with that information?
To solve this problem you would multiply the weight of each container by the number of containers.
Because you didn't supply the weights I'll just give some examples.
Bushel = 25lbs
box = 10lbs
bag = 5lbs
With these numbers you would do the following
(Total Number of Containers) x (the weight of a single container) = Total weight for those containers sold.
9 (total bushells) x 25 lbs = 225
25 (total boxes) x 10lbs = 250
40 (total bags) x 5lbs = 200
Now we can add the total weight of what he sold and subtract it from what he began with to get what he has left.
225 + 250 + 200 = 675
1015 - 675 = 340
In my example there would be 340 lbs of apples left.
