what is the x and y intercept of 6x-9y=18

Ethan C.

In order to find the x and y intercepts, you need your equation in standard form, like you have it above. (AX+BY=C) 1. Finding the X Intercept a. Forget about BY, now you have AX=C, which in this case is 6x = 18 b. Solve for x, divide both sides by 6. c. x = 3, this is your x-intercept. 2. Finding the Y Intercept. a. Forget about AX, now you have BY=C, which in this case is 9y=18 b. Solve for x, divide both sides by 9 c. y = 2, this is your y-intercept
