Well then it is APPARENTLY GIVEN that angle 1 is congruent to angle 2

AND

it is APPARENTLY GIVEN that angle 2 to angle 5

So then, angle 1 is congruent to angle 5 by transitive property of equality

therefore measure of angle 1 equals measure of angle 5 by definition of congruent angles
