Our problem essentially looks like this:
41.8 * 3 / 2.5
Let's make it a bit easier to digest. My Idea is to multiply the problem by 2/2:
41.8 * 6 / 5
Now we're dividing by 5, and that should be easier to manage than 2.5:
41.8 ÷ 5 = 8.36
8.36 * 6 = 50.16
So Tammy can wrap up 50 presents with the amount of ribbon she has. (Can't wrap up a portion of a present, so we rounded down.)
