Tammy bought 3 rolls of ribbon to wrap gifts.Each roll contains 41.8 meters of ribbon. She uses 2.5 meters of this ribbon to wrap each gift.What is the total number of gifts Tammy can wrap with these 3 rolls of ribbon?.

Our problem essentially looks like this:

^{41.8 * 3} / _2.5

Let's make it a bit easier to digest. My Idea is to multiply the problem by 2/2:

^{41.8 * 6} / ₅

Now we're dividing by 5, and that should be easier to manage than 2.5:

41.8 ÷ 5 = 8.36

8.36 * 6 = 50.16

So Tammy can wrap up 50 presents with the amount of ribbon she has. (Can't wrap up a portion of a present, so we rounded down.)
