In geometry, this is an example of a rigid motion known as a translation. First of all, of course the ordered pair is in the form of (X, Y), and the X value is the number that moves left and right, as the Y value moves up and down. Movements to the left (X) or down (Y) will subtract from the original start point, and movements to the right(X) or up (Y) will add to the start point. With that being said, since the X value starts at -4 and moves to the right 8 units, -4+8=4, so the X value of the end point is 4. Likewise, the Y value starts at 2 and goes down 4 units, so 2-4=-2, so the Y value of your end point is -2. Therefore, the ordered pair of your end point is (4, -2).
