Need to put both equations in y=mx+b format to determine the slopes.
6x=7y+1 Subtract 1 from both sides
6x-1=7y+1-1 Simplify
6x-1=7y Divide both sides by 7
6x/7-1/7=7y/7 Simplify
y=6x/7-1/7 m=6/7
-30x+35y=1 Add 30x to both sides
-30x+35y+30x=1+30x Simplify
35y=30x+1 Divide both sides by 35
35y/35=30x/35+1/35 Simplify
y=6x/7+1/35 m=6/7
Since the slopes are equal, these lines are parallel.
