In the equation -8x?=32 what is the missing number
The equation asks you what you take negative 8 times to get positive 32.
Start by asking yourself what times 8 equals 32.
Then recognize that the answer, 32, is positive, and the multiple, 8, is negative. In order for the answer to be positive with a negative multiple, we know the missing number must also be negative, because a negative x's a negative equals a positive.
Once you do this you should have your answer.
