We know that 24 hours are in a day. So we know that 9 x 24 will = the oz per day. That's 216 oz per day.

Then convert fluid ounces too gallons. There are 128 fluid ounces in one gallon. So 216 fluid ounces is 1.6875 gallons. So the pipe leaks 1.6875 gallons per day.

9 oz/ 1 hour = X gallons / 1 day
