The ratio of cost to acres should be the same. Let x = cost of the larger area
6 3/4 = 27/4 1 1/2 = 3/2
x: 27/4 = 35:3/2
or x/(27/4) = 35/(3/2)
4x/27 =70/3
2x/27 = 35/3
2x/9= 35
2x = 315
x=315/2 = $157.50 for the 6 3/4 acres
6 3/4 acres is over 4 times as large as 1 1/2 acre. 4 x 1 1/2 = 5 1/2
4 x $35 = $140. The charge should be over $140. 6 3/4 divided by 1 1/2 = 4.5
4.5x $35 = $157.50
