I'm guessing the situation looks like this:
The Angle Addition Postulate says you can break an angle into 2 pieces where the 2 pieces add together to the whole angle. So the measures of ∠AOB + ∠BOC = ∠AOC
Since m∠AOB = 6x + 2 and m∠BOC = 4x + 3 then (6x + 2) + (4x + 3) = 95. Using your algebra skills of combining like-terms, you get 10x + 5 = 95 or 10x = 90 or x = 9
But m∠AOB = 6x + 2 so m∠AOB = 6(9) + 2 = 56°
