There will be two variables.. S for student tickets and N for non-student tickets
The total cost for all student tickets is 10S and the total cost for all non-student tickets is 12N.
The total cost is 300.
The equation is 10S + 12N = 300.
To solve for each, you'd have to know how many tickets total were sold and have another equation S + N = Total number of tickets sold. Then the equations are solved simultaneously.
