a rectangular patio has a perimeter of 96 feet.if the length of the patio is 6 feet less than twice the width find the dimensions of the patio

P = 2L + 2w and L = 2w-6

96 = 2(2w-6) + 2w

96 = 4w - 12 + 2w

96 = 6w - 12

108 = 6w

w = 18

Length is 2(18)-6 = 36-6 = 30

Length is 30 , width is 18
