I said -4 and I have a co worker saying it is 0. We are both using the PEMDAS method of course, but how we work it at the end is where the issue comes into play. May I get some assistance please?

2 - 2 x 2 + 2 = 2 - 4 + 2 (multiply first)
Then do additions and subtractions left to right: 2 - 4 + 2 = -2 + 2 = 0

Okay so unlike multiplication and division where it's in that order, with addition and subtraction it's left to right and whatever comes first?

It's not multiplication and division "in that order"--it's multiplication and division together as the operations occur from left to right.

Yes. Parentheses and exponents first, then multiplications and divisions, and then additions and subtractions.
