If the ratio is 2:3:5, think about the sum of the numbers = 10

So, divide each number by 10 to get 2/10, 3/10, 5/10. Add them together & you get 1 (or the whole)

So $90 x 2/10 = $18, $90 x 3/10 = $27 and $90 x 5/10 = $45

Now look at the ratio of the numbers...... 18/27 = 2/3

27/45 = 3/5

and 18/45 = 2/5 so, all the ratios are met if the money is

Person 1 get $18, Person 2 gets $27, and Person 3 gets $45.
